I purchased this card because it was affordable and it and it allowed me to connect both my Midi controller before usb midi controllers were popular as well as my turn table. This particular sound card works well in “somewhat older” PCs. M-Audio External Sound Cards. Only drawback, no headphone jack. I have not yet really used it yet. I mean I’ve done them here and there and just had bad results but I’ve heard good results as well. I use it mainly with Elektrik Piano live.

I worked for a week with an M-Box Digidesign. Works great with my DAW. As a member of the Delta family, the Audiophile supports all computer platforms and major software programs, ensuring seamless integration and rock-solid performance.
I perform a reasonable mix that rarely exceed 10 tracks. I use – With my microphone, shure type scene, a wide behringer diaphragm, a pair samson kind overhead through different preamps Mackie console, preamp tube BlueTube and jackson ; – Synchronized spdif with my POD X3 Livewhich allows me to use 4 inputs simultaneously. Rather than taking a big sound card, I decided to invest in the rest of my studio PC overkill, guitars and basses horny sound and touch, microphone choices relatively large, multi-effect pedal for extension of inputs for the map.

The sound is more crystalline and more flattering than the but it is all in the same price range and latency is higher with USB. I am impressed that a product 11 years old still works and has current drivers available.
I use this card for music production and a little armature vocal recording thought I was a vocalist at the time. Jet fighter talk but, seriously – open your machine – pop it in – load the drivers disk and get on with your music. Highly recommended for any older computer recording system mine is a Windows XP. Any Condition Any Condition. Everything is fine Tiny problem: So what must be done is uninstall the old drivers before installing the new drivers just to be safe.
Latency is imperceptible, even under 44khz. Knowing what I know now I’d go with a higher quality USB or fire wire interface but back then they weren’t an option so had to work with what was available.
I purchased this and snapped it right in place of the old one. I think the card was fairly price just wish it had a few more bells and whistles but fairly priced. Cwrd Price New.
