Recently we got wired in my house, and i’ve been having massive problems with the on-board LAN ports of the board. I would actually do that before fiddling with the system to rule out bad hardware. I ruled that out by using a PCI Network card, and experiencing the same problem. Fri Sep 22, 8: Have you tried forcing a mbit full duplex connection and avoiding the auto-connection negotiation? What ended up working best was simply tweaking the memory clock to MHz. You are reporting the following post: On my board I think it got a lightning hit though.

Put in the 3 com and it all works fine. That still leaves you with two accessible bit slots and one x1 slot, although the remaining x1 slot is still a tight fit. Also just uninstalling the nvidia nforce networking controller if XP will let you and letting it reinstall is worth a shot.
