Older versions of GE are almost impossible to find for Linux Google won’t archive them, for some obscure reasonbut every software site seems to do the older versions for Windows. If I do the same but with the line ‘ Driver “vesa” ‘, of course it works the same as without xorg. There are no drivers under Linux: I hope it helps.
